Grungy Monday 04

This is my entry for the Grungy Monday challenge 04 with Texture Fades and Distress over at Studio L3 it is open till Sunday 24 April. They even have a video link so that you can see first hand from Tim (aka HRH - a term I pcked up from Kazz's blog) himself how to do this technique.

I must say that I had such fun with this tag. I cut it with the Sizzex Tag die and then embossed it using the distress ink inside the folder before embossing it. (as per the video)

Then I cut a rosette and sprayed it with Denim color wash and spritzed it with Perfect Pearl Mist. I punched a MS cupcake and put it on the circle I punched and edge distressed for the centre of the rosette.

I used the Denim Distress Stain to ink up the 3 small flowers and the hessian one as well as the embroidery englase ribbon. I made my own happy birthday stamp (with the Teresa Collins Stamp maker) to fit the ticket die and tucked it under the rosette.

I added the tissue tape to the bottom of the tag and finished it off with the bling for the flowers and the ribbon for the top.

It is amaizing how these tags just come together, like they have a mind of their own as I am creating. I just do, I don't think, HRH says that thinking is overrated! He is so right!

I hope you enjoyed this one with me, I think I will give it to my dad for his 70th next Saturday.
