What's On My Workdesk Wednesday 206? Class Layout.

Hello fellow Wednesday Desk hopper from Julia's place over at Stamping Ground.  Thanks for visiting me in Cape Town, South Africa.

I am in the middle of deciding what to use for a class layout.  I have found all this airmail, travel type stash and want to put it together to make a double spread.  I have pulled my appropriate dies, stamps, bakers twine, card stock and anything else that takes my fancy from my stash...Don't you just love that alphabet die?  It is brilliant for titles...Now to settle down and play!

Then there is the Gorjuss stamp in the bottom left hand corner of my desk, with which I am busy making a card sample for the shop. Oh and a random cup cake die which is on my desk for no reason other than I just got it and I have tested it, but not put it away yet...go figure!  I have a penchant for cup cakes, be they edible or paper!  Just can't resist them!

And due to the great interest shown in the roller pricker sewing thingy, (Sew Easy by We R Memory Keepers) here is a close up of the tool and the finished product to show you what it does.  You put your paper on a foam pad, roll the pricker along the paper to make holes and then you sew it using a needle and thread!

That's me for today, short and sweet for a change as I know we all like to speed desk...I am off to find yours!
Thanks for the visit.
Bella

  2. That sounds like a tool a lot of people could use. I don't hand sew, but it would be useful, I'm sure.

I have to admit I love, love, love those cubbies at the back of your desk. They seem to be the perfect size, too.

  14. I mentioned last week I knew what that was - mine is similar, but the wheel is metal and it's thin. Funny, I just saw one in the local sewing shop the other day and stupidly neglected to ask what it was called! Anyway, I just had a go on a cork tile that I use as a stamp mat, and it works fine on that. I may have a foam pad someplace, but you've seen my desk....I'm sure it'll turn up...one day :)

    Happy WOYWW!

  16. Yu don't need reinforcing!! I've seen photos of you..you're all tall and willowy...a supermodel, in fact! Whereas, I need flying buttresses to shore my sides up :)
That roller, prickly sewing thingy is probably going to be one of the best tools you've ever bought! You can be sure of even holes.....did I just say that? Sorry.......

  24. Fabby Desk and I've seen those little Sewers and thought I have a sewing machine.

The stamps are attached on acetate and I put them in a sleeve when I'm not using them but they hae no problem sticking on the outside for when I'm using them :)

Just by coincidence, I've just been sorting through looking for travel stuff ready for my upcoming holiday to the Highlands ... 30. Happy WOYWW, late due to migraine stopping play!
Your desk is so tidy and so interesting with the travel stuff.
I have a small tool like that, every now and then I try it out, it only works on paper not card, and I never get past trying it!
