What's On My Workdesk Wednesday 286? 2015 year planner and Happy Mail!

Welcome fellow Desker to my Happy Mail!  We have had a postal strike for just over 2 months...  Ali H posted me this mag, hand written letter (what a treat) ATC and stamp on 29 September and I got it yesterday, the strike is finally over!  Thank goodness, I was beginning to get a bit worried that I would never see it!  The postage alone cost her a fortune and so it would have been really sad if it did not arrive.

Then on the left of the shot you can see my current and 2015 year planner together with the workbooks from the free on line course (it was free then, but there are others for free right now on other topics, by other lecturers)  by April Bowles Owlin for creatives I did 2 weeks ago as well as my Edit your life for Beginners by Sage Grayson who I found while watching April's course!  These courses have been brilliant for me to try and get my creative life on track for next year.
Here is a double page I worked on during the week for a local competition.  We don't have snow here, so I don't have appropriate photos...  We were given a bag of stuff including the ready cut title and had to make a double page layout using only what we were given, though we could use punches...which I did to make the snowflakes as well as Tim's on the edge die for the snowflakes.

  13. Gosh that strike has had some impact then huh! Happy to read that Ali's gifts have arrived now, how lovely. How I wish I lived somewhere that doesn't have snow - you did a great job without photos, I find that very hard!

  23. Well done for doing a winter layout without any snow pictures! It must be a huge relief to have the strike over and done with (hopefully), that does seem like a long time to go without any mail, I dread to think what the backlog must be like! Anne xx

  27. Such a relief it all arrived. I so want to find the inner determination to do ADL or one of the daily/weekly/even MONTHLY creative classes but I just can't ever make my life conform. :) And I remember when you dyed your hair pink. I thought then, and still think, it was a lovely tribute. Late again - darn that Blogger!

    Happy happy WOYWW!

  31. Hi Bella,

I'm so glad your parcel arrived! Believe me, I know how crazy postage is. It's funny when what you are sending costs less than the postage!

The classes you found sound interesting. I've bought a 2015 organizer but am not sure if I like the layout of it. Hmmm, I'll keep my eye open for others.

I've had my Thanksgiving meal so it was a perfect time to visit desks - either that or take a nap!!

    Happy belated WOYWW
    Hugs,

I'm way late with my woyww-visits (due to the 'open atelier' deadline and all...) but at least I made it here before the next Wednesday ;) I'm glad you received the mail at last... and what a nice mail indeed!!! Handwritten letters are rare these days... and so special! I love them too. Hug from Holland, Marit #38
