What's on My workdesk 295? Clock parts

Hello fellow Desker from Julia's place.  I am busy with a clock which I am giving a make over!
It was a sale clock from a furniture store in the kids department.  The "art" ones you can buy are SO EXPENSIVE here and anyway, I have not seen one for a while to purchase in a store.

It started off bright pink...which would normally suit me as I have BRIGHT pink hair...and love the colour, but it needed some toning down and I have just purchased my first few jars of Finnabair paint...you can see them at the back of my desk.  So you see I needed a project to try them out on.  This gesso is amazing stuff, it stuck to the plastic so well as a base.  From there I used distress paint and now her crackle paste.
It is still a work in progress.  Not really sure where it is going yet...

  4. Lol, oh I'm so sorry Bella... I looked at that last pic and saw two little pink boobs staring back at me! (I know they're the bells off the top, but well, I just see things weirdly at times!!)

  9. The clock looks like it will be cool. Will you assemble it so it works, or " just" make a piece of art? Hope to see what it becomes!

  16. Your clock project is very exciting, Bella (despit LLJ's hilarious comment lol!) - I can't wait to see it in all its finished glory. You are right, buying "craft" things to alter is very expensive, and these cheap and cheerful alternatives are just crying out to be altered!

Thank you for your lovely comment about my embroidery. So glad you like it. Each to her own - you do gorgeous stuff! By the way, I love your blog background - fabulous steampunk against a scrumptiously crinkled textured background!

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  17. I love off the page projects and when I was at TT today I saw that someone had scrapped a toaster and in the slots were two cards. It was so cool... Geeeeee I wish I had the time at the moment :D Can't wait to see what it comes out like.
