Stamping on Felt

I was fiddling around with some stamps and stuff and I thought to myself "well, what else can I stamp these yummy flowers on?" and here we have it... my very own flower embellies made from felt!!

I think the stamps are Bo Bunny...a note to the packaging people for these companies, if you want recognition you need to put your names on the backing sheets for these stamps as I don't keep them in the original packaging. Unless they are Kaizer Craft which has awesome packaging worth storing your stuff in...

Making a Rosette with a Silhouette

To make up for the fact that I missed blogging in February (and nearly missed March too) here is an extra post...

I first designed the rosette perforations and scallops on Corel Draw X4 then I cut it on my Silhouette. I Distress inked the strip in the two colours (faded jeans and peeled paint) followed by the Archival Ink scribble heart stamp.

After gluing the two ends together, I was intrigued to see how different the rosette looked depending on which end I pushed down into the centre...

I have found that the best way to finally hold this together is to punch out a circle and then stick it down with a glue gun. It saves it popping off again later and makes it quite nice and firm.

Ticket Strips

Well, I have been playing with my silhouette and my stamps along with some distress inks and perfect pearls.

First I cut the ticket strips I designed in Corel X4

Then I stamped the images on using Archival Ink followed by various distress inks over the top and finally I stamped with perfect pearls clear and added the delish iridescent colours. Now I have some yummy tags to add to my cards and pages.

I am back!

Well some how 2010 got away with me and I have neglected this site. I plan to post at least one project per month for 2011...I admire all my online friends who do this with more frequency, but then I do run my own full time art studio and have a 6 year old son who needs some attention...and a Husband!

Grunge Lettering

Here is the page I did using these letters!

Well as my first project I thought I would post how to create Grunge lettering. This is great for all those die-cut letters you have in your stash that just don't match the colors of the page you are busy with.

Push out your letters then stick them with craft glue face down onto old dictionary pages or in this case, old telephone directory.

Then tear the paper off the edges of

the letters once the glue has dried. Using sand paper, sand the edges smooth and randomly paint craft glue on the front of the letters to seal them, as where you have no glue the Distress ink takes rather darkly.

Then once that is dry, Distress ink the fronts of your letters in the color that suits your page!
