I don't celebrate Halloween as it is not really done here in South Africa, though we copy what America does a lot, this is one thing that has not taken off in a big way here, the kids on the other hand like to go round and get a few sweets if they can off unsuspecting and unprepared neighbours!
As you can see above, I am in the throws of planning to redo all the tags so far as Christmas ones and so I decided to go right ahead and just make this Christmas to start with!
I don't have the distress stain sprays yet, so I made my own in mini misters. It worked quite well. The masked embossed stamping is almost all covered up under the greenery, but as Tim said in class once...I know in my heart it is there! Also I am out of texture paste, so I used gesso and it resisted the colour a lot more than the paste would have....overall I am happy though. It is quite festive.
Love, really love your tag! I don't like Halloween very much, but Xmas is my favourite!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love how the background came out!
ReplyDeleteGreat take on this month's tag.
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous tag. I like how the gesso resisted the ink. It's a snowy effect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous take on Tim's tag Bella, it is just gorgeous and makes me want to make a festive one now too! We do not really celebrate Halloween here in the UK either and yet it is one of my favourite themes.... I hope you get some new stains, they are beautiful to use (speaking from the vast experience of owing a whole two of them!). Anne xx
ReplyDeleteI am so far behind on Christmas stuff.... I can't believe we are October already. You seem to be on the ball and this is such a cool tag. Gorgeous inspiration.
ReplyDeleteYou are quick to make this months tag! I'm still trying to decide what I'm doing, ha. Love your take. Very festive indeed. It's great to see you use what you have. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI love it that you took Tim's tag and created your own version, not just a copy of his. That's what all this is about as far as I am concerned...using his tag as a springboard for your own ideas! Great job!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tag!
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful Christmas version Bella! Jenny x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful take on Tim's Tag this month! I especially love the Holiday Greens and Santa!
ReplyDeleteHi Bella!! Love the Christmassy tag, it looks wonderful. I haven't done any scrapping in so long that I plan to just skip Halloween and head for Christmas... it may take a wee while to get my hand back in!! LOL
