Yesterday my store got in a new set of stamps and dies from a new supplier, so I have set about making samples to show my customers how they can be used. I must admit that I find it very hard when ordering for the store, not to order one for me and more for the store...out of 130 items delivered...only 9 things had my name on! Not bad huh? Any one remember the Marie Biscuit advert? "One for you and one for me and one for you and one for me..."
Well you cant really use a product for a sample and then put it on the shelf for sale now can you...? That's my excuse and I am sticking to it!
On my desk you might spy the Spellbinders lattice die in the front of my desk as well as the stunning gate in my Distress markers box, those are part of the 9 items apart from the stamps used above!
well that is me...I tried to keep it short and sweet.
See you at your desk.
Bella
Your card samples look lovely
ReplyDeleteI think you did well 9 was very restrained!!!!! He he

Goodness me! How did you only keep 9?! I'm sure if I owned a shop I would just want everything and never sell a thing!!! Seriously, though, your samples are lovely! Happy WoYWW! Julie Ann xx #41
ReplyDeleteLol..well, if I had a fabric shop, there'd hardly be any stock on the shelves..it would be MINE ALL MINE, I tell you, mwahaha ha...ooh sorry, got carried away slightly...... :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the images, they're very sweet!
Hugs, LLJ 58 xx
I think you did very well to stop at 9. Great cards and images.
ReplyDeleteSandra @46
If it was my shop I would certainly want at least one of everything! You were very restrained!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, oh and the coffee machine is not much of a temptation because I haven't actually got the hang of using it ... yet :)

What can I say Bella? You stopped at nine goodness that is restraint. Your sample are great. I bought the boy and girl fronts and backs years ago, along with the a couple others. Need to dig them out and use them again.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the earlier visit and the lovely comment

Great card samples. I think you ought to have gone for 10% and not just 9 LOL!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. Susi #63
Love the card samples Bella they are gorgeous.. and you have way more willpower than I do.. :D
ReplyDeleteI admire your restraint, well done. Love the retirement cards, bet they will be popular.

Nice busy desk, Bella, and I do like that beautiful lattice die. Very pretty - as is the gate. Very nice. Funny to think of you having wintry weather while we've been sweltering here in the UK! At least it's a bit cooler now.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW,

Your card samples are super cute, Belinda! We don't have cable or satellite, never since getting married (25 years), so we don't watch all the things other people do--so anyway, good for you for not watching at all, it's a colossal waste of time for the most part!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by this woyww, sorry I had the wrong link in for this week, you actually saw my last week desk, not that it's much different this week, lol!
:)trisha
That is funny that you and I posted the same company's images! I have the ones you posted, too. Back in the old days I would draw a cigarette in the lounging ladies outstretched fingers. It just seemed to fit her so well! Happy WOYWW and thanks for the visit to me! Have a wonderful week! Darnell #12
ReplyDeleteYour cards are beautiful. Love those Spellbinder dies. Thanks for stopping by. happy crafting #1
ReplyDeleteMy life - are those Art Impressions? I used to stock those and it was very much one-for-me-one-for-the-shop style ordering!
ReplyDeleteNow, I have no problem fabric shopping for you lovely gal if it will help!
Of course you need the samples to help sell the products, that means you have to get some for yourself! I'm sure hubby totally understands that! Great cards and a lovely busy desk too. The older cars are fun but do need a little tlc now and again, got to be prepared for that!

Oh dear...I'd be ordering so many things for myself! But what fun to make the samples, and they look so cute! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #11
ReplyDeleteLove your samples but it's the pink owl that caught my eye! Your desk looks very organised! Happy WOYWW and thanks for the visit. Cindy #37
ReplyDeletebeautiful card samples! I have been trying to catch up with the samples needed at our store but with all the new stuff coming in I am over whelmed! Have a great week and thanks for stopping by my desk and commenting. Vickie #36
ReplyDeleteTY for stopping by. :D I'd spend my wages plus some if I worked in a store that sold toys I like to play with. I love that lattice die. Can you use those dies to make stencils?? I have that cricut, but have NEVER used it. I hear with one of the models you can make stencils. I don't make cards or scrapbook, but am reading up on creating digital art and prints. Your cards are awesome. Yes International postage is crazy, initially I was dumbfounded, but I'm not deterred from wanting to ship to one of you wonderful WOYWW'ers across the pond, or the other side of the planet if it means making one of you smile!!! Have a great weekend. Happy Hump Day. (((HUGS)))

You are very strong, only 9 items out of all those brought, I would be needing to test them all.....lol. I am loving the look at your desk today those dies particularly the lattice look fabulous and I so love your early retirement images. Have a great week and Happy WOYWW! Danie #34
ReplyDeleteThose cards are fabulous, lovin the owl at the back of your desk. I'm very impressed that you were so controlled in buying only 9 items. Re your comment on my blog, I wish we lived closer too, only trouble is, I bet we wouldn't get much painting done, there'd be too much nattering.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous week.

Lovely card samples and Happy WOYWW! -Mari #13
ReplyDeleteLove your cards Bella (first visit to someone in SA), and oh wow I'm loving that lattice die, think it's on my wish list now. Having a shop would kill me...marie biscuits!! Cheers RobynO#52
ReplyDeleteI so agree with your theory, and am glad I don't work in a scrap shop or I would be broke all the time but you would have to make samples to show people, so what is a girl to do? LOL Happy WOYWW Annette #5
ReplyDeleteOnly 9 things for you?.....I would have ordered a lot more...I adore that lattice die cut....lovely cards too...keep warm xxxx from a hot and windy LESVOS.
ReplyDeleteWith so many choices out there and only picking 9 that's impressive and your cards are so sweet love the clouds in the kiddie ones :)

Bella those are some beautiful samples. Don't you just love getting to play with new products? You must be in heaven each time new products come in and you get to make samples.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing them. They are so cute.
I have some guests in my home from California and so I have limited computer time but wanted to peek for a bit today!
Hope you are well.
Have a blessed day!

I can appreciate your one for you, one for me approach, but I think you showed GREAT restraint with this last order.
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late getting here. I'm playing catch up after having been offline for nearly three days due to internet woes associated with our recent rain.
Happy quite belated WOYWW from #2.
