Well, the piles are on the floor, not really on my desk...but you get what I mean! The contents of the green album will be moved to the black album as the green one is one I made many years ago and it is not standard size and therefore does not fit the shelf I want to move my albums to...
Hello there fellow desk hopper, snooper and follower of Julia's place over at Stamping Ground! Welcome to the floor of my study in Cape Town, South Africa!
I have been scrapping for 10 years now and have quite a collection of albums. Mostly to do with my son (the pile on the left) as he was the reason I started scrapping...I now have a huge pile of albums as seen above (they are normally in the cupboard, but I needed to see what was missing) and even more scary, an enormous pile of pages not in albums as seen below.
I spent yesterday getting them into year piles and now I need to get each of those piles into chronological order and into an album! Considering these piles go back to 2007, I have my work cut out for me!
I started this process as I need to know what I still need to print and scrap to get my albums up to date. I am REALLY behind on this year...that I know for a fact, but it would seem that I am quite far behind on a few others as well!
So this is my desk (floor) for your perusal, now I am off to see what I can see on your desk (or work surface of choice...)
Thanks for the visit
Bella
Hi there. That is an impressive pile of layouts there! I don't envy you the sorting though I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end!

Hi there Belinda....a big job you have going on there,,,,,better get it done before it gets to hot...I tend not to want to be inside when the summer comes... love from Lesvos zeffy#52
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! What a lot of work is ahead of you. Cannot take in just how much scrapping you have done. Still it will be worth it when all is there for you to sit and look through.
ReplyDeletePhew! Just looking is exhausting.
Hugs, Neet xx 11
Wow! 10 years of scrapping! I love that! It must be great to leaf through that all :) Uniflame - 71
ReplyDeleteI think I need to go and sit down and rest after looking at all those pages! So many - how ever long did it take you to do them in the first place? Golly, you have a mammoth task ahead of you - all the best.

Wow Bella, I haven't even put a simple photo into an album let alone made all those pages. That's truly impressive but what a job you have ahead of you. I think a huge cup of coffee is called for before you begin :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

Oh my goodness... that is a LOT of albums! I have 'only' 7 albums (and one or two themed ones) but then again, I moved from scrapbooking to art journaling so I have A LOT of mini-books and art journals... I would love to flip through the pages of your albums. Seeing this, I almost feel like creating a lo again... ha! Happy woyww and a hug from Holland. Marit #76
ReplyDeleteYikes! Mee too, a whole bookcase of them. But such a pleasure when I catch one of the kids flipping thru them. Heck I should flip thru them more than I do. maybe tomorrow....
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!

What a prolific scrapper you are, Belinda! Wish I were sitting on your floor looking through those wonderful pages.
ReplyDeleteI only scrap once a year at Christmas for annual books done by our entire family. But 12 copies of the same 4 pages (total 48) about does me in!
Hope your Wednesday is absolutely wonderful!!

That is a big pile of albums! But I do understand...my photo albums would be the thing I rescued if the house was on fire (after DH ad kids, obviously!). Love looking at photos and I find other people's fascinating too...I know, weird........ :-)

Hi Bella, it's been taking me ages to get around to all the desks lately, as I get so distracted, but today I'm determined to visit lots! Good luck with your big organization drive. I really admire people who scrap and organize their albums. I am a bit haphazard in what I create, but it is really interesting to see what other people do! Julie Ann xx #35
ReplyDeleteGosh I can't believe how big that pike of pages is! That'll definitely keep you quiet for a while!

ReplyDeleteYikes.... I need to do the same... I have pages that don't have journalling on them that I still need to add too.... I just have to start somewhere and keep going till it is done. You make me want to get my bum in gear and get it done xox
ReplyDeleteNow that is an impressive tower of LO's and always good to see a shot of the floor. We crafters use all the space available. Lovely pic of the top LO.
ReplyDeleteSandra @12
You will feel empowered when complete...sorting can be fun too...as long as you don't get caught up in the memories.
ReplyDeleteCarole #99 I bit late but does it matter?
Wow that's a lot of scrapbook ing! Keep your friend away from my blog, wouldn't want her to keep over. :) The comments this week have been 'very' interesting. :)) Thanks for the earlier visit! Happy WOYWW a few days late! Nan G #7
