Hello Fellow Desker. I am late to the party today cos it is a holiday here in South Africa and I have had a lie in!
On my desk you can see the black sheet of paper that I sometimes use as a backdrop for shooting photos for my blog and the configurations box (how I made it is here) I made as an entry to the CC3 challenge on Linda's Blog.
You can see my keys and phone right where I left them when I came in last night from teaching my evening class...
Time to tidy away and get crafting for the rest of the day!
How interesting that you use a black backdrop for shooting your objects against..I've always tended to stick to the white but will definitely have a go at this.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a fab lie in...you're such a hard worker, you deserve it :-)

I like the backdrop card, Belinda. Makes the item really stand out well.
ReplyDeleteTrust you really enjoyed the lie-in. Good for you!
Take care. God bless.

Love the backdrop idea- I usually use a small easel with some black glitter card on it, but may have to have a try at this. Hope you enjoyed your Holiday! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #25 xxx
ReplyDeleteMy backdrop tends to be any fabric that is hanging around - ie blue shirt that is a coverall, bedsheets, towels... get the picture? No pun intended there ouch!
ReplyDeleteI am longing to see your config box in detail - bet it is superb.
Hugs & thanks for visiting me - Neet 16 xx
Great idea to do the back drop in black.
ReplyDeleteThe box is gorgeous. I couldn't really see it very clearly but I'm sure it will appear on your blog in a bigger picture.
And I'm looking at other things on your desk too. Like loads of stamps.
Thank you for letting peep over your shoulder.

I think this is the first black backdrop I've seen in a LONG time! Interesting how it sets off the project. And your box is fabulous! Enjoy your holiday! Happy WOYWW!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great box and the back drop really shows it off. Funny we did table top backdrops and correct lighting in camera club on Monday. Have a happy week

I like black as a backdrop too, though often use anything that's plain and handy!! I still have a config box bought years ago, waiting to be "done"!! one day, one day... Helen 4
ReplyDeleteYour awesome projects look very nice on black.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting and leaving a nice comment. I am pretty sure, next week I will have to show some stamp work :-)
Cheers

ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x 36
That's the first time I've seen a black background for photos but it makes your box really stand out. That box is awesome, so much in there. I had a look at the making and there is no way I would have the patience to do that. You are so creative to think up all those things.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,

Hi Bella that's a clever idea with the back drop I have tried it ... Unsuccessfully a few times but yours looks great .... So does the box
ReplyDeleteHi Bella,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wide angle shot showing us how you take photos for your blog. I hadn't thought of using black as a backdrop but it definitely works very well. I love the shadowbox!!!
Happy belated WOYWW,
Peace,
