Hello fellow Desker from Julia's place.
Here you see a rather large file full of my annual accounts. It is financial year end for me at the end of Feb. Yuck.
Not much crafting going on other than to test the Soft Matte gel by Finnabair. I used it to glue some fabric onto a little decoupage box. It worked a real treat.
You can also see some keys (at the back in white) I molded on the week end and the copper spray paint I plan on using on the blue ended "DIY straw" for a future project.
This post should be called "testing, testing, 123!" cos I am testing products as well as concepts and the accounts are testing my patience!
May your accounting go quickly so you can have more fun to play. Happy woyww nikki 5
ReplyDeleteoh dear... accounts... good luck! Glad you're getting on well with the Prima products, the light paste is the only one I've used (have the heavy gesso) and love it! Helen #1
ReplyDeleteHi Belinda, I certainly don't envy you - I cringe at tax time... Testing, testing sure is the right catch phrase...I truly am always testing - ideas, techniques, products...it's fun. Hope the accounts are out of the way soon and you're back to crafting, cheers RobynO#12
ReplyDeleteYuk - doing the accounts! Not something I have to do, fortunately - as hubby does them each week... phew.
ReplyDeleteTake care, and enjoy the trying.
God bless.

I'm such a country bumpkin, I was looking for straw that you'd possibly made out of something else...not a drinking straw with blue ends!! Doh! I'm sorry about the accounts - but really, it'll be done and dusted in no time because you're so good at keeping up to date and ready. I find nowadays that I write myself notes as I go through the year to remind me to add this or that and when I find them, I can't even vaguely remember my reasoning. Argh!
ReplyDeleteNot the best thing to have on your desk - best do 'em and get rid so you can get on with the interesting things!
ReplyDeleteLook forward to see the way you use your new products.

I love testing and swatching. Inspite of accounts there is lots of fun stuff going on here. Brave you to have your cuppa right on your crafting. i'd be testing sponges!

OOh, accounts, self assessment tax returns...they all fill me with dread. I mean, I'm reasonably intelligent but my brain turns to mush when I'm faced with these. So, good luck, Carruthers...hope it goes smoothly :-)
ReplyDeleteThe keys look interesting, I wonder what you're going to get up to with those then!!LOL
Hugs, LLJ 23 xx
Perhaps its good to do some crafting in between the accounts? Hope everything in the accounts works out and you can get to the spraying stuff :)

I'm very behind in the accounting time...yuck! I still have files to make and cross over to the new year. I guess I need to get my feet out of the mud and get it all done and ready for the accountant, but first there's are more desks to visit......LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit and the lovely comment.....just wish the crowns were on my head instead of in my mouth.....grin
Good luck with the accounting; and thanks for reminding me I better get our taxes done; (no, really...) And sometimes testing can be fun...when done in advance! Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your accounting done soon. I've never had to do it but i know it's a pain!
ReplyDeleteThe little box altered with fabric looks gorgeous. You're trying out all sorts of things.
Have a good week,(in spite of the accounting)

Hi Bella, you need to get the tax stuff out of the way as quickly as possible, it's taking up to much space and time Lol! Now everything else is great and looks like fun so hope you have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x 37
ReplyDeleteHey I am with you when it comes to the end of month billing then tax time to get it all ready, even though I go and do it each month of the year so it isn't too big a haul at the end of financial year. It is still dragging on the mind and can cause some brain damage being stuck to figures and balances all the time, but then we have art and craft, something we should hang onto with a tight grip. Your desk is waiting and screaming at you to play. Hopefully you can get to it soon.

Ewww, I used to do accounts for a living, so glad I gave it up. I hope you get through it quickly so you can get onto better things. The keys look great and the straw looks interesting. I love that fabric. Have a great week,
