What's on My Workdesk Wednesday 257? Cards and ATCs

South African Elections


Hello fellow Desker from Julia's place over at Stamping Ground.  Welcome to my desk in a sunny (though not too warm) Cape Town, South Africa.

Today is voting day and Google has made us our own logo!  Cool stuff!

I am however off to work even though it is a public holiday, but we have had so many recently (two last week) and because I work for myself, if I don't work, I don't earn, so class is going ahead today.  We will vote after class.
This is my desk...covered in random stuff from making cards from left over stash from all the conventions I have attended over the years.  Trying to get it used up. Oh and as usual my overflowing ribbon drawer...

Then there are the 4 ATCs for the April swap at my store.  The blue one with the crown is my make as I always make an extra one for myself to keep and the other 3 are the swaps I got!  I love doing these swaps.

I will be finishing off the ATCs for the WOYWW swap tonight and posting them to Ali H tomorrow or Friday so she can swap some at the crop for me.  How exciting!  Those of you who have agreed to swap with me, I will be posting yours tomorrow or Friday too so you can have them in time for the WOYWW party.  Thanks to Nikki C whose ATC has already arrived.  Talk about orgainised!

    Some fab things on your desk! I love the teal/turquoise swirly paper...my favourite colours :-)
    And I thought you had a rather dazzling new pair of specs until I realised it was the handles of your scissors. Blimey, think I need my eyes testing!!

    My ATCs are also already gone. I like that we got organized, because waiting til the last minute doesn't work for me. Lovely art you got, too.

    I agree that your cutter may be old. So is mine. But I'm not sure it ever cut straight in the first place (grin). Thanks for the earlier visit. I was by last night early, but your post wasn't up yet. Happy WOYWW from # 5.

    Love those sweet cards on your beautiful, busy desk! Thanks so much for visiting me--you were cracking me up. I never even thought about not being able to knit and watch my shows!     I love using up scraps - but can't use them nearly as fast as I seem to produce them LOL! Your cards are fab!

    It's good to use up stash.I love to use stashed embellishments it make the project go faster...sometimes.

    I love the cards and ATC's! I'm hoping to get mine finished this weekend, and in the mail next week. My DH, also my postman...(really...)isn't convinced of my world-wide mail safe-ness...might need to make some adjustments...oh bother...
