What's on My Workdesk Wednesday 209? Thanks

Welcome fellow Desk hopper to my desk over in Cape Town, South Africa!

Today my desk is all clear from the creative chaos that ensued as I created 2 double pages on Saturday and Sunday...

I am envious of the 18 or so ladies who gathered together to crop this past week-end, to meet in person with Julia and Lunch Lady Jan to cement online friendships which have grown over time due to this wonderful phenomenon called WOYWW where we gather as like minded people to snoop and share our spaces, ideas and projects, the world over.  So I would like to thank Julia for persisting with what must at times feel a bit like a millstone around her neck, with this thing called WOYWW.

In fact looking at most of our blogs through the months, if it was not for WOYWW, we would be quite inactive...as most of us only make the effort once a week to blog and join in with the gang over at Stamping Ground on a Wednesday.  I speak for myself mostly as I always mean to blog in between, but then life gets in the way...and I find myself back on Wednesday AGAIN!

Though having said that,  I did manage to do a tutorial HERE on how to do the Typewriter card complete with downloadable jpg for you to print and cut for yourself.  If you have a Silhouette or eCraft cutter, email me and I can send you the cut file if you like...

So THANKS Julia for the friendships I have made and the things I have learned during the past 3+ years that I have been participating.

Thanks for the visit.

Bella

  1. Hi Bella-
I love the typewriter and your card tutorial is great...I've been thinking about the die, and this may have tipped it to the Need To Get column. Hope all is well with you. Have a great week.

  2. Hi Bella, I also only seem to catch up with the blogosphere on Wednesdays. Now, if the weeks didn't go so fast ...
Your ATC is winging it's way to you. Hope it doesn't take too long.
    Have a good week,

  3. Thanks for the tutorial, have just gone and read it through, will be giving it a go soon! :) I am so impressed by your tidy and well organised craft space and the words in white on white along the top are lovely... I had to laugh when I saw the globe... picked one of those up from the side of the road on the way to Mosselbay a few years back and now I think I have finally figured out what to do with it! :) Happy WOYWW from Annette #8

  8. Hi there,
Just popping in briefly, I'm supposed to be mowing the lawn!
Still, this is a better way to spend the morning in my opinion.

Hope you have a great week.

  9. My husband would faint if my desk was ever that tidy!! It looks so good with all the things in the drawers. I love your typewrite card. I only own a pair of scissors, so can't make that gorgeous card but it looks easy to make with the cutter.
    Have a great week.

  11. Now that is a very tidy desk and looks too tidy for all the lovely creations and LO you are usually working on. If it wasn't for woyww I think I would of given up on the blog ages ago.

  12. I have tidy room envy! Everything looks so organised unlike my usual bombsite! I agree, it's easy for a week to speed past and not get around to blogging. Good job Julia keeps us on the straight and narrow!! Hugs. Pam#9

  13. Lovely tutorial. Save you pennies and next year you can come to the WOYWW crop and teach us all in person! I wish everyone could have been there - but imagine the crowd and the noise LOL!

    Happy WOYWW!

  15. Hi Bella
I am with you on wishing I could have been at the crop. We feel that all our blog friends are indeed true friends but the chances of meeting them all is not in our reach.
Never mind we can still dip in to every one's blog when we feel like it
Wishing you a very happy WOYWW and hope you have a great week

  17. Noe that's a scarily clean desk there Bella! I'd have loved to have been at the crop too but I'm too far away. But I can't complain as as I did get to meet up with Jan and Julia when I was in England a few weeks ago.

  23. Wow! Your workspace looks great! I wish I could have joined in the crop too, but I was away on holiday. I am new to blogging and WOYWW has just changed my life - so many new friends to share with. Sorry this is so late a comment, but I had such bad backache yesterday I couldn't get round to everyone. x#59 Julie Ann
