Belinda is "ringing" out the year with a phone project!

 

Dear Reader

As we head into the final days of 2021, I leave you with this phone box project to "ring" out the year!!!

I can just imagine it making an old fashioned ringing sound as it sits behind me on my studio shelf.  I do plan to make a mini album to go inside.... but that is for another day! 

The handle of the handset is made from 2 x 90 degree pvc pipe bends and a piece of pvc pipe... 

The base is a wooden treasure chest that I found at a craft shop.  I lined the inside with the books rice paper and the sides with left over rust paper from the backgrounds pad.

Belinda's flying boat

 

Hello Dear Reader

Here is my flying boat!  When the original Lady Vagabond was released quite a few people made boats...  When I knew that I was getting the rope mould and the anchor in the second release... I could not wait to make my version of a boat!

I used thin corrugated cardboard packaging from some Ikea boxes and built the base of the boat from strips.  Then I glued the 8x8 piece of paper on the same packaging and fussy cut round the top of the deck and Lady Vagabond.

I mixed the Glamour pigment with my resin to make it brown and ran the wings as a "skeleton" in the mould.

finally I added the other moulded items that I had painted black and then waxed with the gold Cerantica.

The white rope that I wound around the railings which I made from the original pipe mould is from my stash.

Dawid's Artist Trading card storage box

Dawid has used an MDF base that is designed to store Artist Trading cards or ATCs as they are better known.  I love how he has put stencil work on top of the paper that he has covered the whole box with, then layered the chipboards and  the fussy cut 6x6 Lady Vagabond on the front.

Anne's briefcase from a box

 

This briefcase by my Design team member Anne Redfern is just such a great idea for storage.  I love how she has turned a box into a briefcase using the latches and handle moulds and will be using it to store her rice papers in!

Belinda's wooden snow globe

 

Hello there 

Seeing as it is silly season... I thought I would "get with the program" and make a Christmas ornament using Lady Vagabond moulds and papers.

This is a snow globe from a local shop that comes with other laser cut images in, that I have cut out and put Lady V reading her book in instead!  

The paper at the back of the snow globe is from the 8x8 paper pad.

The colours on the resin pieces are listed below and then lightly brushed with Gold Cerantica to bring out the details.

The Supervisor must be napping as he does not feature in this creation!

Radovan's Pop up card

 

Today Radovan has this fabulous pop up card as his Design team creation.

I love the way Lady V is sitting behind the pike of cases and there is so much depth.

She also has the most amazing pair of wings ... I wish I could fly too!

The front of the card uses the new Lady Vagabond from the Lifestyle collection.

He used a combination of 8x8 and 12x12 paper pads from the Original Lady V

Samantha's Shadow box frame

 

Samantha's shadow box frame is full of gorgeous textures and even has some lights hidden behind the pieces of texture impression sheet she has cut up and glued in layers all round the outside.

I love how she has highlighted the textures

The Supervisor is styling it in the engine room

Sam has put a half a Christmas ornament over the compass.
