Olga Heldwein's boat using Lady Vagabond papers

Hello Vagabonders Olga here !!!

Today I have for you quite challenging project . I fell in love with one of the constructions on the Stamperia hop by Magdalena KarasiƄska and wanted to tackle the topic. The conversation between Ms Vagabond and Teri on Stamperia cafe pushed my idea even more.

"Where is Lady V house and how it would look like ???"
In the collection you can find one of my personal favorite papers  -  the houses. I cut out all those houses and rearrange them (in my opinion) into the perfect house for Lady V. Its eclectic and fancy and its on the boat so she can travel in it !!!
To make this happen I have used cheap recycled chipboard as base and ton of cut outs from collection. All decor is from matching moulds and beautiful papers.

Mini Album using Lady Vagabond Book paper

Hello dear Reader

Here is the mini album I created using the Lady Vagabond book paper.  I cut out the book and then added a chipboard layer to stiffen it and set about using the doors and photo frames as the main pages in this 5,5x7,5 inch album.

The books on the left are real... the one standing up is the album I made using the paper...  The original is lying at the bottom of the pile...
I decided to make each page into a pocket so that I could add colourful tags to each page with pretty lace ties at the top for extra details.
The original book has a proper brass clasp to keep it closed, so I decided to add a false lock from the cut out sheet at the back of the paper pad.
This is the inside cover where you can see the other side of the paper where it has the lined paper inside.  To achieve this I had to use a second sheet of the book paper to cover the chipboard cover.
I carefully cut the inside of the photo mat out so that I could add photos of me dressed up as Lady Vagabond...  Olga Heldwein and I had great fun roaming the streets and taking photographs for this.
I cut the doors from the paper pad and then cut them so that they could open.
Here the chest is glued so that it acts as a pocket.

Below you can see the door open to reveal a photo...
The back of the paper pad has a great fussy cut sheet and I took this image of Lady Vagabond on the chest from there.
Again you can see inside the door  on the opposite page where I have added a photo.
This was a really fun project to create using all the Lady Vagabond papers.

Tamar Perry creates a mixed media canvas with Lady Vagabond

Dear readers

Today I have the story from Tamar as to what inspired her to create this large mixed media panel of multiple items assembled together... called

 “Glimpses of NY”

As you know, New York is the home of Sir Vagabond, and also the home of the creator of this piece *wink*

From the outside, New York seems shiny to dreamers but to the locals it is dirty, dark, busy and very grey.

In her travels, Lady Vagabond only read about this great city, but when she finally arrived in her flying house to New York,  all she could see from above was the grey blanket of smog that covers the city, and she could barely catch glimpses of it through the cracks in the industrial cloud of what is one of the greatest cities in the world.

To make this piece I used pieces of chipboards from my stash of leftovers, in various sizes.

I treated each one as a separate substrate, and crated mini pieces of art – some with rice paper, some with paint, some with stencils or stamps, or a combination.

When all the parts were finished I assembled them together and attached them to each other.

Using the the molds that illustrate Lady Vagabond's world, I gave the flying machine bigger wings because this is New York and everything is bigger here, however one of its wings is a bit 'damaged '– as it was a long way to come from London though all weathers over the ocean.

I added the molds spread out over the assembly and not on top of each other to illustrate the glimpse from Lady Vagabond world hovering over the glimpses of New York.  The only colorful components in this piece are Lady herself and her books in which she can let her imagination take flight!

Regards

Tamar Perry

Design Team member Disorganised Crafter for Lady Vagabond

Dear Reader

Today it is Nikki's turn (AKA Disorganised Crater) to show off her skills with the Lady Vagabond line...

She has used stone paper by Stamperia to create this amazing backpack bag.

If I didn't know it was paper, I would have thought it was leather!  Quite mind blowing!

I love how she incorporated the moulds on the flap and the straps as well as the handle and even the Supervisor has a spot on the tag!

The inside of the bag has been lined with the A3 ricepaper!

I love the gears she has added on the shoulder straps as details

Miniature train station by Hadry_DC for Lady Vagabond

Dear Reader

Today I share my Design Team member Hadry_DC's most imaginative train station where she has created a little mysterious  little world where Lady Vagabond is off on another adventure!
Here you can see Lady and Sir Vagabond waiting on the platform
Below we have Lady Vagabonds tiny (I would go so fare as saying micro) journal on the bench.
Sir Vagabond has a lovely little London parcel as well a hat box to carry for Lady Vagabond
What a cute little bench painted with Allegro paints
These tiny elements really are just the cutest little creations!

These close ups show how Hadry has painted the gear behind the clock as well as the pipes which adorn the station with the Allegro paints in black, turquoise, Terra de Ombra and Mattone to create an aged look.
Below we pan out again to see another view of the Travelers
I love how she has taken a toy train and painted it with the Allegro paints and added chipboards to decorate it and the station.  Her dry brushing technique is quite spectacular.  It makes me want to rush out and purchase a little toy train to give it a make over!
