Hello fellow Wednesday desk hopper from Julia's place over at Stamping Ground. Welcome to my desk in Cape Town, South Africa.
I finally sorted out the Comment issue I was having with G+ and Blogger last week, thanks for making the effort to comment and help. See this post if you too are having issues.
I should have headed this post TESTING, TESTING, 1,2,3!
On my desk are the new dies I got as well as the Sew Easy pricker roller thingy from We R Memory Keepers. I was tempted to get this little simple but effective tool as I am not a sewer but like what I have been seeing on peeps layouts and cards. I have done the boarder of the card so far...
I have tested the silver dies and they are fabulous. Tonic really do make good quality tools, no wonder Mr Holtz is prepared to put his name on them!
The tall white roll is double sided tape 14" wide and I use it to adhere the pictures that come with the Sizzix dies to the die so my students can easily see what they are cutting. You can see my latest purchase of the Chandelier just in front of it and my 3D version out of chipboard drying in my empty coffee cup! Who knows where or how I am going to use that, but I had to make one as that is the first thing that popped into my head when I bought it!
Also on my desk is the flip it die with the newly purchased mover and shaper inside and the test run is at the back of the desk in pink together with the 7 Gypsies little hooks which I need for another 3D project I have in mind for storage.
That's me for today
Now I am off to see what I can see on your desk if you have linked up with Julia!
Bella
Hello Bella, lovely to see all is fixed on the comments. I did try last week but it was all too confusing. I am still in awe of 14" double sided tape. Love your technique for drying 3D objects.

ReplyDeleteHope it is warmer in Cape Town than in Boksburg, we are freezing our behindies off over here. Thank you for your early visit to my blog and yes, you are right, other sports in SA does not get the same recognition at all and with Telkom withdrawing from SwimSA, times are looking very bleak for water polo.
ReplyDeleteAll those new toys sound very interesting, maybe I must head on doen to CT for a playdate next holiday.
Happy WOYWW!

A sewing, pricking, roller thingy??? What?? Is this some sort of crafting torture equipment, lol!! You're going to have to show me what you've been using it for..as my mind is boggling at the moment :)
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ 33 xx
Fabby goodies on your desk there today Bella! I have yet to try tonic dies but am tempted tho. There is a presenter on Create and Craft who bashes the dies against the desk to get the paper out, worries me slightly!
ReplyDeleteHugs
xx
PS Doris will be revealed next wednesday!
ReplyDeletexx
I think I know what that thing is - I have one too! It's like a little rolling wheel in a handle that you can use for marking fabric. I know what it IS but not what it is called :)
ReplyDeleteGlad yu sorted out your Google commenting thing - I'll know when I try to post this if it worked LOL!
Happy WOYWW!

ReplyDeletegreat looking desk, very busy looking too! I love those flip it cards but...I am having trouble selling them to my students who just don't seem to get the concept...I don't know how to tell them they are fun not a masterpiece! Some students want everything frame-able and never intend to send it to anyone! Hope you have a great week. Vickie #36

Hi bella i haven't had any problems commentingso it's all good.
ReplyDeleteinteresting die cuts on your desk... the piece in the cutter looks intesting you could use that to make a back ground for the chandalier, or something, maybe, I think! have a good week
janet #32
Hmmm. Haven't seen the Chandalier die...what fun that would be!! I'm always a bit envious of all those storage cubbies right in front of you...so handy. The Neocolour crayons are just amazing...it's so much fun to play - I feel like a kid. And then when I want to feel like an artist I just wet them either with a brush, my finger, or a water brush and I feel like an artist again! My friend just bought another type of crayon on Amazon so I'm interested to see how those work out for her. I got mine from Dick Blick Art Supplies - don't know if they ship International. have a good week!
ReplyDeleteLove your storage and that chandelier die looks fab! Thanks for stopping by to see me, Cindy - no longer sure what number as it has changed three times today..........xx
ReplyDeleteLove the chandelier! I have but yet to use the WRM roller but it's ink doesn't prick. I can't hold a needle to do the sewing thought the one that made ink stitches would be cool. By the way, I would kill for the contents of your pink storage drawers! :) lol and Happy WOYWW! Nan G #87
ReplyDeletehi Belinda..enjoy all your new dies and goodies....Even though so much is going on your desk looks nice and tidy.....keep well...Zeffy 135
